Lessons Learned from Turning Legal AI into a Real Product Lawyers Actually Use
Building an intuitive, self-updating, and scalable AI legal assistant for a complex and highly regulated environment like Greece presents a set of challenges that go beyond typical product development.

This session examines the evolution of dikaio.ai, the first AI legal assistant developed for the Greek market, focusing on the practical lessons learned while turning an early concept into a tool used in daily professional workflows.

The discussion will cover key product and technology decisions: selecting the initial user segment, adapting the product to meet the needs of law firms, financial institutions, and public sector organizations, and navigating the shift from a conversational interface to a system integrated into critical operations.

Particular attention will be given to how product–market fit was identified and validated in practice—not as a theoretical milestone, but through sustained usage and renewals—and how the underlying technology supported that transition.

The session aims to provide a grounded perspective on building AI products in regulated, high-trust environments, offering practical insights that can inform similar efforts across industries.
